    Duration Approximately 1250 hours over a 3 year time frame, delivered via block release at Creswick. Each year students will attend three, two week blocks of training at Creswick and then be expected to complete work based assignments between blocks.
    This programme delivers high level technical and supervisory information to allow Forest Managers skills, knowledge and techniques to perform their jobs.   • A total of 15 units of competency must be completed: 6 Core units plus 5 Elective units from Group A plus 4 Elective units from Group A and/or Group B, which can include up to 2 units from any endorsed Training Package or State/Territory accredited course. These units must be relevant to work undertaken in the Forest and Forest Products industry. Assessment must be conducted in accordance with the Assessment Guidelines.

  • This course has been developed in consultation with Melbourne University and Industry, and is a competency based format based on the Associate Degree in Forest Management (ADFM). Units for block release have been based on those necessary to cover the previous knowledge component of the ADFM, and work based projects will give Timber Training Creswick evidence of competency completion.
