Timber Training Creswick Ltd hosted this training by training provider, 360Edge, for our regions health and education staff.

360Edge, Australia’s leading expert consultants in alcohol and other drug responses, has been chosen to deliver half day face to face workshops to frontline workers across Victoria as part of Victoria’s $45.5 million ice action plan ‘Taking action, Stopping ice’.

The Department of Health and Human Services is responsible for this initiative and will be working closely with other departments, member-based organisations, peak bodies and other key stakeholders to deliver the programs.

The training is designed to build the knowledge and skills of frontline workers to respond safely and effectively to people affected by the drug ice and will cover:

  • Understand the effects of ice and identify users
  • Find out how to work safely to protect themselves and others
  • Learn how to respond effectively to ice-affected people
  • Understand what works in treatment
