    Duration Competency based - up to 8 days This course is delivered at the Timber Training Centre, Creswick, and regionally around Victoria. Participants will be expected to travel to forest coupes for practical falling experience associated with the training.
    This course develops techniques required to fall trees safely and efficiently, produce useful forest products and leave a silviculturally correct forest behind.  Successful completion enables participants to meet one of the requirements for obtaining a Forest Operator’s Licence in this category of work. 5-6 participants per instructor. Job Outcomes: On successful completion of this course learners may be able to find employment as manual fallers.
  • Will be by demonstration of skills and answering related questions.  Upon successful completion students will be issued with a nationally recognised statement of attainment for the unit(s) above.

  • Enrolment in FWP20111 Certificate II in Forest Growing & Management Persons enrolling for this course 1) MUST hold a Forest Operator Licence or prove equivalence 2) MUST have satisfactorily completed Course in Chainsaw Operation & Maintenance or hold current equivalent qualifications from a recognised training organisation.
