    This course is aimed at providing skills associated with the resawing of flitches. It is designed to improve the participants ability to maximize recovery from flitches whilst at the same time maintaining the required product quality. The course emphasises cutting techniques involving the practical application of softwood grading rules. Other key elements of the course include safe working practices, maintenance of sawing equipment, fault identification and effective measures for their rectification. Maximum 4 participants. Note: This course is commonly conducted using a Band resaw at a host mill / timberyard but can be adapted to circular resaw operations if the need arises, and can be conducted at Creswick if preferred.
