This course equips learners to provide advice and solutions to customers, clients and other sales staff. 10-12 participants. Class based with work based assignments.
Job Outcomes: Learners successfully completing this unit may be able to find employment as timber sales advisors.
Will be by short answer questions and return of work based assignment. Upon successful completion students will be issued with a nationally recognised statement of attainment for the unit(s) above.
Course Content
Establishing the scope of work including intended application, environment and critical integrity of the structure
Accessing relevant information and identifying suitable products for customer requirements
Helping customers make buying decisions by conveying features and benefits of different product options
Accurately determining quantities and pricing
Interpreting and applying design requirements to work activities
Interpreting and conveying fitting and installation instructions
Coordinating and managing service delivery
Developing, refining and improving customer service standards
Wood and timber products to suit customer, installation and cross trade requirements
Innovative, new and emerging wood products/ technologies
Participants must have completed the unit FWPCOT2241 Apply timber product knowledge or be able to prove equivalence for entry into this program.
