This course is particularly relevant to new kiln operators and/or sawmillers who intend to commence drying for the first time and have little or no prior knowledge. Through a combination of group discussion and practical exercises at the Training Centre's drying laboratory- and using the kilns, participants will gain an understanding of the principles underpinning timber drying and the various drying processes. 8-12 participants.
Will be by demonstration of skills and answering related questions.
