This course is designed for timber and wood product sales people who need to provide comprehensive advice to customers on the correct timber to use for their applications. 12-20 participants. Class based with field trip to a timber processing facility.
Participants will gain an understanding of wood technology and various production processes in order to recommend suitable products to customers.
Job Outcomes: Successful completion of this course may lead to employment as a timber sales assistant. This course may also be useful for building inspectors and specifiers.
Will be by demonstration of skills and answering related questions. Upon successful completion students will be issued with a nationally recognised statement of attainment for the unit(s) above.
